We are the downslide, folks.

The following is a link that lets you know how your senators vote on a given item.

I started emailing Boxer and Feinstein a year ago on issues that mattered to me. Starting getting emails back that look like _someone_ is reading my emails and bothering to respond (got one from Feinstein back that was very paternalistic over the Flag-Burning bill - but at least someone read it enough to try to logically answer my logic). Here's a link where you can see how your senators voted on a given bill. I need to hunt up my 'look up the wording of a bill' link. I don't have it accessable anymore - the computer it was on died, and I hadn't yet found delicious. (delicious is a web-based link saver - you can access your bookmarks from any computer using it).

I am not articulate enough to go into all the reasons why the Military Commissions bill is a very bad idea. It really boils down to - do you trust your government enough to take away the checks and balances? I don't.
