Books are a distraction from pain. So I have been reading - new and old. Not recording old yet, so here's the new -
6. Chill Factor ... Rachel Caine
7. Assassin's Apprentice ... Robin Hobb
8. Royal Assassin ... Robin Hobb
I love books. I am working on the last of the Assassin series, and my coworker has lent me White Knight, 10th in the Dresden files. Mmmm... Dresden files.
Chill Factor was what I expected - I saw the plot twist coming from the start, but it was a good read.
I put off Hobb's books for YEARS. My coworker wore me done by offering them when I had _nothing_ new to read and no funds to get anything new.
So I, being the book glutton that I am, finally said, Okay, I will give them another try.
Glad I did. Very glad. Fantasy, interesting world, and while I hated the dearth of good female characters in the first book, the second book got better.
