I really wish the Democratic Party would stop hounding me for money, or hounding me to remind me to vote.

When they would like to actually accomplish something, they can talk to me.

No forward movement on DADT, a healthcare bill that isn't enough, more chipping away at the abortion rights, a whole lot of being too scared of the republications to actually accomplish anything - they can bite me.

I am no longer voting for the lessor of two evils.  I will vote for a  politican deserves my vote.  I suspect I won't be voting for many this year.

If there is someone that you think I should vote for, send me a link to their voting record.  Please understand that I am liberal, I am the far left kind of liberal, and I actually think taxes are good thing, so don't bother if it's a tea party candidate.

So you'll be looking at some Green candidates?

Green Party. Am willing to consider any liberal candidate with an agenda I like, no matter how unlikely to actually make it.

Although I get that it's not essential, is practicality a plus? If so, I'd have thought that Patty Murray was one of the few candidates we'd both support. I think she's with you on the things you mention and on other things I recall your talking about in the past, she's local to some of your life, and she's got one of the most competitive races in the senate (by Nate Silver's reckoning, the 4th, with the top 3 being candidates I feel confident you'd not like). My affection for her is mostly a Trade based affection, which I don't think is something that bothers you.

You know, Boxer is the only democrat I am likely to vote for. Overall, she votes the way I want her to, when I write her a letter in disagreement with a vote or a position, I get back a thoughtful, non-condescending, non-stating that I will vote for her despite my disagreement letter back.

Feinstein is condescending, and has told me her viewpoint is better and I will vote her anyway.

Unfortunately, Boxer is the one who is up for election this time, so I can't vote against Feinstein with glee in my heart.

Just out of interest, what is your beef with Murray?

I can't find anything about her. Google is giving me a Pat Murray as a candidate in Canada. That's it.

She's the senior senator for Washington state. Big environmentalist, Clinton supporter, Public Option fan, pro choice enthusiast, shovelling unreasonable amounts of money into teacher's salaries, all those things. If you're not familiar with her, my hope is that reading about her would cheer you up for a couple of minutes, even if you don't donate. Or watch a couple of videos. Lot of red meat there.
