Yet More Things I try so you don't have to... the 2008 Jone Halloween Soda edition

This time I used my Marvel group as test subjects.  Hi guys!

So, Target has 7 Jones 2008 sodas this year.  4 in cans, 3 in bottles.  Yes, I am the person who switched the cans/bottles so that they were not all the same kind - I am  not spending $25 on soda.  I got one 4 pack of cans, and 1 four pack of sodas, which, woe is me, lead to 2 of one kind in the bottle.  Sadly, not the good kind.  My ability to judge the bad in advance was at all time low...

 

First in cans:

 Buried Pomegranate – this was a blueberryish pomegranate – more berry than pomegranate, this one was fairly decent.

 Spoookiwi – this was the best.  Apple and kiwi.  I don’t think it was _supposed_ to be apple, but mmmmmm it was crisp and clean and good.

 Lemon Drop Dead – this was good.  Be better in a lemon drop martini.  It was bitter, however, which meant only I liked it.  Woo, to be the loner who like that which no one else does.

 Candy Corn – this tasted like feet.  Seriously.  Don’t try it.  Just don’t.  It was awful, and very few of the tasters finished it.

  In bottles:

Dread Apple – tasted like red apples.  Fairly decent, this was liked the best.  A bit too sweet for me.  Definitely not like green apple, this was a sweet apple.

 Blood Orange – tart orange.  I liked, again, I was the lone wolf for this one.  It wasn’t creamy, wasn’t very sweet, this was not a normal soda orange. 

 Monster Mojito – this was horrible.  I didn’t finish it, and I finished my candy corn bit.  I like limes, I like mint, I like Mojitos.  This?  This was disgusting and I know not what they were thinking other, “how crazy are people – do you think they will actually drink this?”

 

  Not all bad, but only about 3 that I really would buy again.  I miss the caramel apple.  And the red licorice.  Though I didn't get to try the red licorice.  I miss it on general principle.
